Spring stilts are spring loaded stilts that enable the wearer to jump up to heights of 7ft and run up to speeds of 25mph. Designed by the German engineer Alexander Boeck, these jumping stilts (as they are also known) are available in many different brands all over the world. Spring stilts have become have a very large following in both North America and Europe, and Youtube contains 100's of videos of spring stilts - with anything from ammeture to professional stunts men.
Spring jumping stilts usually retail for anything between £110 and £170, depending on which brand and which supplier you get them from. They are mainly purchased on the internet but sometimes can be found on the high street (from niche sports equipment shops). Safety equipment is always a must as falling over whilst wearing a pair of spring stilts is very likely when you first start out. Most suppliers of spring loaded stilts will also sell the necessary safety equipment.
